Alestorm are Scotland’s self-proclaimed purveyors of “pirate metal,” a rowdy, tongue-in-cheek fusion of power metal, folk melodies, and shanty-style sing-alongs soaked in rum and good humor. Led by keytar-wielding frontman Christopher Bowes, they’ve turned high-seas silliness into a genuine crowd phenomenon.
