Black Label Society

Zakk Wylde’s church of the riff. Black Label Society formed in Los Angeles in 1998 as Wylde’s full-band outlet after Pride & Glory and the acoustic Book of Shadows chapter — and it has stayed a banner for loyalty, grit, and unapologetic heaviness ever since.

The sound is unmistakable: crushing Southern-tinged grooves, squealing pinch harmonics, doom-weight choruses, and the occasional piano ballad that hits as hard as the riffs. Wylde’s Ozzy years (and later Pantera / Zakk Sabbath live work) sit in the DNA, but BLS is its own crew. The current studio / road unit pairs Wylde with guitarist Dario Lorina, bassist John “J.D.” DeServio, and drummer Jeff Fabb.

Discography runs from Sonic Brew through Doom Crew Inc. (2021). Twelfth album Engines of Demolition landed March 27, 2026 (MNRK), carrying singles like “The Gallows,” “Lord Humungus,” “Broken and Blind,” and “Name in Blood,” plus the tribute cut “Ozzy’s Song.” On MoshStar: the videos, festival slots (Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Rocklahoma), and the American Crusade dates as they post.
