Godsmack

Godsmack are the Lawrence, Massachusetts hard-rock band who rode a wave of late-’90s alt-metal to multi-platinum success and never let up. Founded by frontman Sully Erna, they broke through with their 1998 self-titled debut and the inescapable “Whatever,” “Keep Away” and “I Stand Alone,” built on heavy, percussive grooves and Erna’s commanding delivery.

A string of chart-topping albums followed, from Faceless to 2014’s 1000hp and 2023’s Lighting Up the Sky, keeping them a fixture at rock radio and on festival mainstages.
