Backwoods Festival 2023

Backwoods Festival planted its flag on Mulberry Mountain deep in Arkansas’s Ozark National Forest for a four-day run over April 20-23, 2023, and the jam-meets-bass faithful answered the call. The programming leaned into the festival’s signature blend of improvisational jam and heavy electronic dance music, giving the weekend two distinct heartbeats.

The String Cheese Incident anchored Saturday with a pair of sets, while Big Gigantic opened the weekend on the 4/20 kickoff and Lettuce brought the funk on Friday. The Floozies closed things down Sunday. Deep support came from Papadosio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, SunSquabi, Keller Williams, The Polish Ambassador, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Boogie T, Of The Trees, Maddy O’Neal, SoDown and Arkansauce, among many more.
