Slayer closed out Rocklahoma XX with what looked and felt like the biggest crowd of the weekend. By the time the Slayer eagle hit the screens and the stage went red, the field in front of the main stage was packed.

ICP and Slayer shirts were everywhere at the ranch this year, but Sunday night belonged to thrash. Tom Araya led Slayer through a closing set that pulled what was left of Rocklahoma into one massive crowd.

From the pit, it was hard to get a real sense of just how many people were there. The wide shots tell the story better: thousands of fans stretching back from the stage under the red glow of the Slayer logo.

Rocklahoma regularly brings tens of thousands of people through the gates over the weekend, and Slayer’s closing set looked every bit like the moment everyone had been waiting for.
