Gates are scheduled for 11am daily (subject to change per official Festival Info). Entrances are Garden Highway (north) and Jibboom Street (south) at 1000 Garden Highway. Expect metal detectors and a tight bag policy — the official site strongly encourages skipping bags; if you must carry one, stay inside the published size rules. One factory-sealed 20 oz water or one empty plastic refillable bottle is the drink exception; metal bottles, CamelBaks, chairs, umbrellas, and large packs stay out. Arrive early for screening.
Wristbands and will-call — lock this before you roll. Passes ship as RFID wristbands; registration is mandatory for entry (code on the back of the RFID saddle). Late orders that miss mail ship pick up at Box Office Will Call with order confirmation and government-issued photo ID. Someone else can pick up with the original confirmation email, a copy of the purchaser’s ID, and written consent. Official box offices sit at both Garden Highway and Jibboom Street Bridge entrances — published hours (subject to change): Thu Oct 1 9:30am–9:00pm, Fri–Sat 9:30am–10:00pm, Sun Oct 4 9:30am–9:00pm. Campgrounds open Wednesday. First-year Cal Expo camping starts 12pm Wednesday, September 30 and runs through Monday noon. Festival pass and camping wristband are separate; no camping wristband, no campground. General re-entry into the fest is not allowed once you enter each day unless you are camping with a camping wristband, on a Hotel + Admission package, or on a qualifying Costco Marketplace multi-day value pass — confirm your lane on official Pass Info before you leave the grounds. No general on-site parking (limited ADA only); Park & Ride from Cal Expo still sells separately per rider.
