Dark From Day One

Arkansas’ loudest lifers, and living proof that a band name can be a promise. Since 2006, Dark From Day One have been building big, cinematic rock and metal out of Little Rock — widescreen, hook-forward anthems like “Giants,” “Crawl” and “How Could I” that once put them on an Edgefest bill next to Korn, Mudvayne and Static-X. Nearly two decades in, they’re still swinging: 2025’s “Prisoners” kicked off a new chapter, with a fresh album on the way. Heavy, melodic, and stubbornly alive — this is the sound of a band that never learned how to fold.
