The Hill is headed back to Pryor.
Cypress Hill will return to Rocklahoma in 2026, bringing one of hip-hop’s most recognizable live shows back to the red dirt for the festival’s 20th anniversary celebration.
Rocklahoma XX runs September 4–6, 2026 at the Rockin’ Red Dirt Ranch in Pryor, Oklahoma, with Godsmack headlining Friday, Papa Roach Saturday and Slayer closing the weekend Sunday. Cypress Hill is among more than 40 additional acts announced for the anniversary lineup.
For MoshStar, though, this one feels familiar.
We’ve seen Cypress Hill take over Rocklahoma before — and we have the photos to prove it.
Looking Back at Cypress Hill at Rocklahoma 2022
The last time Cypress Hill rolled through Rocklahoma was Sunday, September 4, 2022, during the festival’s 15th-anniversary weekend.
That Sunday lineup was loaded. Cypress Hill shared the day with Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White, Black Veil Brides, The Hu, Lit, Fire From The Gods and others.
MoshStar was there.
Digging back through our Rocklahoma archive brought up a set of photos that instantly took us back to that afternoon: B-Real on the mic, Sen Dog commanding the stage and the entire production soaked in Cypress Hill’s unmistakable green glow.
The lights, haze and stage backdrop made for some of our favorite shots from the weekend.
And four years later, those photos suddenly have a new purpose.
They’re no longer just memories from Rocklahoma 2022.
They’re the before pictures.

Cypress Hill Are Coming Back September 5
Cypress Hill’s 2026 Rocklahoma appearance is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, and this time there’s an extra twist.
Rocklahoma is partnering with the Cowboy Cup Cannabis Championship & Festival for the first time. Cowboy Cup programming will run during the festival weekend, with its championship awards ceremony taking place Saturday — followed by a performance from Cypress Hill.
You couldn’t exactly draw up a more fitting combination.
Cypress Hill have spent more than three decades building an identity around hip-hop, counterculture and an unapologetic live show. Putting them directly after the Cowboy Cup awards ceremony feels less like random festival scheduling and more like somebody understood the assignment.
Saturday’s Rocklahoma headliner will be Papa Roach, making Cypress Hill part of a day that should cover a pretty wide stretch of rock, punk and hip-hop territory.
Cypress Hill Are Celebrating 35 Years
There’s another reason the timing works.
Cypress Hill are spending 2026 celebrating 35 years of Cypress Hill. Earlier this year, the group announced its Once Upon A Time In The Summer Tour specifically around that milestone.
They’re also not simply touring on nostalgia.
In March, Cypress Hill released “Wacha Trucha” with Mexican rapper Alemán, introducing a new project the group says will be performed entirely in Spanish and designed to reconnect with and celebrate their Latin roots.
So the Cypress Hill arriving in Pryor in 2026 carries a pretty interesting combination.
They’ve got 35 years of history behind them, a catalog capable of turning an entire festival crowd into a singalong, and new music pushing the group into another chapter.
That leaves a lot of possibilities for the Rocklahoma set.
From the MoshStar Archives to Rocklahoma XX
One of the best things about covering the same festivals year after year is eventually realizing you’ve started building a history of your own.
You don’t necessarily think about it while you’re standing in the photo pit.
You’re trying to get the shot.
Then a new lineup drops four years later and suddenly you’re scrolling through a folder full of photographs from the last time that artist stood on the same Oklahoma stage.
That’s exactly what happened with Cypress Hill.
Our 2022 archive captured the green lights, the smoke, the turntables and the personalities that have made Cypress Hill instantly recognizable for decades.
Now Rocklahoma is bringing them back.
And MoshStar plans to be there again.
Cypress Hill + Rocklahoma Just Makes Sense
Rocklahoma has always stretched the definition of a traditional rock festival.
That’s part of what makes it fun.
Over the years, Pryor has made room alongside hard rock and metal for punk, alternative, country, hip-hop and artists that don’t fit cleanly into any one box.
Cypress Hill fit that philosophy perfectly.
They can walk onto a bill surrounded by guitars and amplifiers and somehow never feel out of place.
In 2022, they proved it.
On September 5, 2026, they’ll get another shot.
And with Rocklahoma celebrating 20 years, Cypress Hill celebrating 35, and Cowboy Cup leading directly into their performance, this may be one of the most uniquely Rocklahoma moments of the entire weekend.
Legends return. The smoke rises again.
